Kennedy Expressway Inbound/Reversibles Rehabilitation
This project was a comprehensive effort to restore and enhance key infrastructure along I-90/94. It includes a wide range of improvements, starting with bridge deck scarification, followed by overlay and critical repairs to the decks themselves. We reconstructed expansion joints, fixed parapets, and addressed various substructure needs to ensure long-term durability. The project included 27 bridge rehabs along 7.63 Miles of The Kennedy.
Additional work includes upgrading sewers, adjusting drainage structures, and applying both temporary and permanent pavement markings. Environmental considerations were a priority, with erosion control measures in place, as well as tree removal and replanting where necessary. We also implemented temporary soil retention systems, manage waste testing and disposal.
Throughout it all, we were committed to minimizing disruption—traffic was maintained on I-90/94 using a carefully planned staging process. Every element, from the technical repairs to the environmental touches, was built to create a safer, more reliable roadway for everyone who travels through this corridor.
